Two New Programs Offered on Thursdays

Petite enfance

Designed specifically for little ones ages 0 to 3, Petite enfance introduces French through the joy of play! In this cozy, supportive environment, children and their grown-ups explore language naturally together through engaging stories, catchy songs, movement, and hands-on fun.

What makes this program special:

Maternelle

Designed for children ages 3 and up, Maternelle offers a vibrant, play-based introduction to French for kindergarten and school-aged learners. In this warm and encouraging environment, your child will build confidence as they explore new sounds, words, and concepts naturally through active, hands-on fun.

What your child will experience:

Everyday Communication: Children gain functional French vocabulary and simple sentences they can use in real-life, daily routines.
A Well-Rounded Curriculum: Language learning is woven into exciting explorations of math, science, social studies, music, movement, visual arts and storytelling.

CLASS STRUCTURE

Each 60-minute class follows a gentle, predictable rhythm that helps children feel comfortable and engaged.

Welcome Circle: We gather together with a familiar French greeting song, setting a warm and welcoming tone.
Music & Movement: We sing, dance, and explore rhythm with French songs that get little bodies moving.
Story Time: A simple French story or book that sparks imagination and introduces language patterns.
Craft Activity: A craft relating to the week's topic and theme.
Sensory & Play: Hands-on exploration with materials that engage the senses and introduce French vocabulary in context.
Closing Circle: We say goodbye with a familiar song, reinforcing routine and connection.

Each class builds on the last, reinforcing familiar language and concepts while introducing new learning week after week.

WHAT TO EXPECT

What you and your child will experience

Classes are mixed-ages from 0 - 6 years old

For Ages 0–2: Expect lots of lap time, songs with simple movements, sensory play, and plenty of repetition. Caregivers are active participants, singing and playing alongside their little ones.

For Ages 3–6: Expect more interactive activities, storytelling, creative crafts, and group participation. Children begin to echo words, sing along, and engage with peers in a French environment.

All sessions are:

Play-based and developmentally appropriate
Welcoming to all language levels (no prior French required!)
Designed with caregiver participation in mind
Small group sizes for personalized attention

All participants will have access to an online portal that includes songs, vocabulary lists, visuals, videos and more!

AGES & FORMAT
Ages 0–6, Session-Based Learning

Who can join? Fleurish in French welcomes children from birth to age 6. Classes are mixed-age, allowing siblings to learn together and younger children to be inspired by older peers. Please contact us if you have a child older than 6 who would like to join us.

Do I need to speak French? Non! Fleurish in French is a welcoming, confidence building environment where no previous French experience is needed. The focus is on practice and connection, not perfection. Come as you are and fleurish at your own pace.

Session format: Classes run in 12-week sessions to provide consistency, familiarity, and meaningful language development over time. Learning grows each week as classes revisit and reinforce past language while steadily building new skills and understanding. Regular attendance helps children to build confidence and connection.

Drop-ins: Limited drop-in spots may be available depending on session enrolment. Please contact us to inquire.

Parent participation: Parents/caregivers are required to stay with their child for the duration of the class. This is a learning experience for you to share together!
